MacCauley Atasie Managing Director/CEO, NEXTZON
Macaulay Atasie (Mac) started his career as an Assistant Manager at Nigerian Breweries Plc. and has since then, gained valuable experience in the Financial Services, Payments, Brewing, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, and Aviation Industries.
From Nigerian Breweries Plc., he joined Accenture where he worked for over a decade rising to become the Head of Venturing/Payment Systems and Senior Manager, Strategy; where he successfully led several industry-defining initiatives including the setup of ATM Consortium Project (ATMC), Nigeria’s pioneer payments switch (InterSwitch).
Mac was the pioneer CEO of HEIRS Alliance Limited, a holding company for several banks and other companies with assets under management of over $1 Billion. HEIRS Alliance has since been succeeded by HEIRS Holdings Limited.
He currently sits as the MD & co-founder of NEXTZON, a fast-emerging Market Management Consulting and Enterprise Development Company inspired by a collective mission of building and transforming business enterprises for phenomenal success. NEXTZON has grown to become a recognized and reputable business under the motivational leadership of Mac.
He has been working with Anambra State as a key member of the State’s Economic Team and functioning as the Governor’s adviser on economic and strategic matters. Mac has also been very supportive in his home state (Abia) in driving economic development initiatives.
He is the current President of E-Payment Providers Association of Nigeria (EPPAN) and sits on the board of NEXTZON, Trend TV Ltd, FINCONNEKT, Sattrak and Avon HMO, just to mention a few.
After successfully earning a BSc. in Microbiology and an MSc from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences – University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Mac surged International to train at Stanford University USA, Cranfield University UK and Witts University South Africa. Macaulay has over the years deliver several papers within and outside the country on crucial topical issues.
