But just who is Tomi Ahonen?
Tomi was born in Finland and joined Nokia in the 1990s, where he was instrumental in putting the internet onto mobile networks. Tomi created the world’s first fixed-mobile service bundle; set the world record for taking market share from the incumbent; and created the world’s largest multi-operator billing system.
He relocated to Hong Kong in 2001 and now helps Fortune 500 companies define their mobile strategies. A seasoned presenter, Tomi has spoken at more than 300 conferences in over 60 countries and his cumulative audience totals over 100,000 people. He’s the author of 12 bestselling books on mobile and digital communities, and in 2012 Forbes ranked him “the world’s most influential expert in mobile”.
In short – this is a unique opportunity to spend a day with a man that has spearheaded the development of the mobile industry from its infancy. That’s before 3G existed, before the iPhone, before MMS, before mobile money, before the app ecosystem had even been considered.
If you take your individual personal development seriously, then don’t miss this day. Be sure to come with plenty of space on your hard drive as you’re going to need it.
